Timetable
Red Balloon of the Air’s daily timetable is split into six 50-minute sessions with the following timings (please note that learners are unlikely to have sessions in every possible slot):
Daily Timetable | Start | End |
---|---|---|
Session 1 | 09:00 | 09:50 |
Session 2 | 10:00 | 10:50 |
BREAK | 10:50 | 11:20 |
Session 3 | 11:20 | 12:10 |
Session 4 | 12:20 | 13:10 |
LUNCH | 13:10 | 14:00 |
Session 5 | 14:00 | 14:50 |
Session 6 | 15:00 | 15:50 |
We have a 10-minute rest time between Sessions 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6 to allow our learners to step away from their laptop, e.g. a small movement break or a chance to rest their eyes from the screen.
Our timetable is live which means for each session on the timetable, the teacher will be online, ready to start.
When learners start with us, their timetable will initially comprise of individualised sessions; if/when learners are ready, they will join small groups of up to six and the number of sessions on their timetable will increase.
What if my child has a reversed sleep pattern?
When learners join us, they often have difficulties accessing our earliest sessions. During the settling-in phase, we try to avoid allocating sessions in 9am slots (if necessary) to support an adjustment of sleep patterns, though this is not always possible.
Can you work around another provider’s timetable?
As we create a live timetable, adjusted around learners’ individual needs, we cannot work around another provider’s timetable. We can make adjustments for regular medical appointments (e.g. CAMHS) but provisions that require large blocks of time cannot always be accommodated.
